What we collect
The only personal data The Velvet Coven collects is the email address you submit through our newsletter signup form. We do not collect names, phone numbers, or any other identifying information through this site.
How we use it
Your email address is used solely to deliver The Coven's Reading Order Bible and our weekly dispatch. That's it — no sponsored verdicts, no third-party marketing on our behalf.
Our email provider
Newsletter subscriptions are managed through MailerLite. When you subscribe, your email address is transmitted to MailerLite and added to our "Coven" subscriber group. MailerLite processes this data on our behalf as our email service provider; their privacy practices are governed by their own policy at mailerlite.com.
What we never do
We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your address is used only to send you The Velvet Coven's newsletter.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure which reviews and guides are read most, so we can improve what we publish. Analytics only loads after you grant consent — you will see a banner on your first visit asking whether to accept or decline. If you decline, no analytics script runs and no analytics cookie is ever set.
What we measure is limited to audience statistics: approximate page views, time on page, and referrer. IP addresses are anonymised at collection. We do not use Google Signals, advertising features, or ad personalisation, and we do not track you across other sites. This is an audience-measurement setup, not an advertising one.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking Cookie settings in the footer, which clears your stored choice and shows the consent banner again.
Unsubscribe
Every dispatch includes an unsubscribe link. You can remove yourself from the list at any time by clicking that link, or by contacting us. We process opt-outs promptly.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights regarding your newsletter subscription, reach out and we'll action it.
